Glamour Nails by Leda started out as a hobby, and today is a family run business where we each take on different tasks to keep this little venture going. It has grown beautifully with the support of all the loyal customers, fans, and subscribers. We are deeply grateful to all of you for supporting our goals.
In the beginning, people always asked Leda where they went to get their nails done, and people always wanted them to share what nail tech did the work. Little did they know that Leda was the one painting and designing their own nails. Leda stopped paying for salon services in 2005. Since then, they apply their own acrylic and paint their own nails. After explaining this, people were very interested in Leda doing their nails.
Since Leda isn’t a licensed nail technician, and because of the risks that can possibly be involved in any nail application, they decided that the best way they could provide their custom designs to people was by way of press on nails, initially selling to friends, then moving on to eBay and Etsy. Then when their health deteriorated and our insurance coverage wasn’t enough, they decided to do their best to sell more often to help raise money for their medical care. As more and more people caught sight of the press on nails, the demand started creeping up steadily. We were throwing around the idea of creating an actual business out of this little hobby. Something that could grow and help us achieve many more goals. It was decided and a business was born. We are super thrilled to provide all of you with our creations!
